Dylan Taylor: Born in 1986 in Auckland New Zealand, I was raised by a solo mother with a natural aptitude for baking and cooking. For reasons unknown, I often watched these processes from a distance, but never fully immersed myself as a maker, or even avid consumer. This all changed when I relocated to London in 2010. I settled straight into the East London borough of Hackney (one of the capital's most vibrant & multicultural districts), where I quickly became fascinated by the sights, smells & ultimately flavours of this cultural melting pot. I saw the London fruit and vegetable markets as a meeting point for a full spectrum of cultures, providing a panoply of wares from exotic places. I enjoy food as a vector for social exchange, as well as the pure philanthropic act of providing for others. Now based in Berlin, I continue to write, explore and learn more about my passion for food whilst promoting the work & creativity of others in the field.
